mary’s pressure point is mary
Sometimes Sherlock wakes up to find John watching him sleep. He still gets shy when he sees it. Maybe even blushes a bit.
facts that people manage to miss despite being made abundantly clear by the dialogue:
- john is sherlock’s only pressure point
- irene is a self-identified lesbian
- john’s orientation is unconfirmed other than him not being exclusively attracted to men
- sherlock wasn’t conscious to be able to know who called his ambulance
- mycroft and sherlock love each other
John isn’t Sherlock’s only pressure point though? Magnussen had to scroll through like a thousand of them. “Redbeard” was one of them. That’s Sherlock’s problem. He’s so internalized that he holds everything in and everything is personal for him.
Those were potential pressure points, hence why they were scrolling (Magnussen hadn’t settled), why he said “Redbeard” (he was testing for a response) and why he later said “very hard to find a pressure point on you, Mr. Holmes” (singular).
A pressure point is a part of the body that, when pressed, incapacitates the person in question. The only weakness of Sherlock’s that pressing can have an incapacitating effect on is John.
